Who we are

LEGO Price Tracker NZ ("we", "us") is a New Zealand-based website that compares LEGO® set prices across New Zealand retailers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the LEGO Group.

What we collect

If you create an account, we collect:

• Your name and email address
• A securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text)
• Your watchlist, collection entries, and price alert preferences — data you enter yourself

We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. We use two analytics tools to understand overall site usage, neither of which is tied to your account or identity:

• Vercel Analytics, our hosting provider's built-in visitor analytics, which does not use cookies.
• Our own first-party analytics, which uses an anonymous, randomly-generated session cookie (not linked to your account, even if you're signed in) to measure things like which pages get used, roughly how long visits last, and which searches are submitted (so we know what to add to the catalogue).

Besides that, the only cookie we set is a session cookie needed to keep you signed in.

How we use it

• To run your account, watchlist, collection, and price alerts
• To email you (via our provider, Resend) when a set on your watchlist changes price or comes back in stock, or for password resets
• To keep the catalogue and pricing data accurate and up to date

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with retailers or advertisers.

Where it's stored

Account and personal data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase. Transactional email is sent via Resend. Both providers are contractually bound to protect data they process on our behalf.

Your rights

You can update your details at any time from your Profile page. To request a copy of your data or to have your account and all associated data permanently deleted, email us at legopricetrackernz@gmail.com. Under the Privacy Act 2020 (New Zealand), you have the right to access and correct personal information we hold about you.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
